Descobertas Boutique Hotel by Aspasios is located at the heart of Ribeira do Porto, offering you a modern and comfortable accommodation with free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Inspired by the places where the Portuguese navigators arrived at the time of the Discoveries, each floor is distinct, showing different perspectives of that time and of some discovered colonies.

The Hotel is only 800 meters away from Avenida dos Aliados, São Bento Train Station and the Metro Station. The iconic D. Luís I Bridge is a 2 minute walk and allows you to cross the Douro River for a visit to the famous Port Wine Cellars. The Palácio da Bolsa and the Church of São Francisco are at an equal distance.

The Descobertas Boutique Hotel is situated in the historic City Centre of the City of Porto, surrounded by the typical colorful little houses that paint the Douro riverside, with the Postigo de Carvão alley and the river port of the ancient medieval wall as its background. Located at Rua Fonte Taurina, one of the oldest and most characteristic streets of Ribeira, the Hotel has been built on the site of old building of the Mercantile Industrial Society.

On the surroundings of the Hotel, our guests can easily visit several monuments, such as: Palácio da Bolsa, Casa do Infante, Ferreira Borges Market, São Bento Train Station, the Cathedral and even D. Luís I Bridge. A few meters away you have Praça do Cubo of Ribeira with its numerous terraces and bars and wharves for river tours.

  • Laundry Service: Our hotel has a laundry service from 09:00 to 17:00 (except on Sundays). If you want to use the laundry service please contact the Front Desk for the supply of the laundry bag.
  • Room-service: is available 24 hours, seven days a week. Please check the Room-service Menu to select your request. The price list is available on the Services Directory.

Rates:

  • Flexible cancellation rate: The total price of your booking will be charged 48 hours before your arrival. If you cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your arrival date, there will be no additional charge. Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival or in case of a no-show will result in your credit card being charged 100% of the total price of your stay.
  • Non-refundable rate: Non-refundable rates do not allow for modification or cancellation. The charge is made in advance at the time of booking.
